Seven of Wands
The Seven of Wands Quote
“Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear - not absence of fear.”
Mark Twain (1935 - 1910)
Meaning upright
To protest against something, heroism, holding on to your own uniqueness, perseverance, courage, not able to get used to something, not wanting to adjust, forced to defend your position, having to take your responsibility, having to fight alone, strong personality, not giving up, holding on, defending your point, problems that you’ve caused yourself, wrestling, fighting, being the laughing stock, action that comes too late, saying no, making your point, defending something you know for sure, receiving criticism, someone who always has to start a discussion or fight.
Meaning reversed
Solving obstacles, a signal that you need to develop a stronger personality, weakling, running away for your responsibilities, taking on a new role, lack of tact, need to live with less resistance, giving only 99%, succumb under pressure, weakness, fear, low physical resistance, not defending yourself.

The Seven of Wands in your reading
This is the card on which we see a fight. You are forced into a position in which you have to defend yourself. It could be that you are not fully behind that defence position but you can’t take it anywhere else. You will have to do this. It is important to know right now what you want and how far you are prepared to take it. Often you feel resistance when you pull this card. That is why this card often stands for making it too hard for yourself. Let yourself go with the flow. Resistance is a sign of fear. Why are your so afraid to let yourself be with your fait? What is it that you think you will find there?
Do you see that your attackers are not visible in this card? Are you fighting invisible attackers? Is the struggle taking place IN yourself instead of outside of you? As long as you keep returning the attack the battle will not subside. In that point I like Dr Phil… he often says that one wise person can stop the fight. Are you the wise one? Sometimes a battle will not bring you closer at all. It keeps you right in the middle of the “mud” and will make you very tired. Be a wise one and step out of the conflict that’s going on (inside you or outside of you).
Sometimes fights are worth the fighting. It depends whether there is something waiting for you at the end of the road. Decide for yourself whether it is worth it. Will you be able to say when you’re 90 years old that you made the right decision? Or is it just a squabble going on between egos?
If you think you will have to finish this fight then find new energy to find renewed inspiration.
